The aim of this assignment was to create a miniature world, however I was more interested in the contrast between both the giant (the real world) and the miniature (the phantasy world) worlds.

During the week end one of our assignments was to research self portrait photographers and let their styles inspire use. The pictures I made were based on a style of a mixture of Terry Richardson and Andy Warhol.

FOr the 4th of July celebration my mom and I went to a hotel right next to the Hudson river to see the fireworks in the evening, the sunset was probably even more magical than the fire works.

Union square is a wonderful place to watch people and capture fascinating people. When a an started drawing on the ground another girl asked to join, both in their own worlds, both expressing them selves on the ground that millions of people are going to walk on, with material that could disappear in an instant.

While I was collecting images of reflections I was also looking out for interesting people... successfully.

Due to the picture of the photographer Freilander, I got inspired to take pictures of the building of New York but through the reflection in store windows. This was one of my favorite, the window of a Paul Smith shop. 

Washington square park, New York - June 2011

We were assigned to follow a certain style of an artist which we could choose, to do so we went to washington square park to get as many pictures as possible. Shortly after we arrived a large group of kindergarden kids trotted into the park as well heading for the fountain in the middle, though these type of pictures were not really the style of my chosen artist Garry Winogrand these were too cute not to capture. 

Salta dessert - December 2011

This picture was taken in Salta the dessert of Argentina, we stopped in the center of the road, seeing that cars seldomely drove by, about one every thirty minutes. The way the road kept going without an end, without a single soul present was incredible.
